V Cashpoint Funding for Voluntary Projects
'vcashpoint' is a funding initiative for young people who want to set up a voluntary project in their own community. By providing grants of up to £2,500, vcashpoint can help young people turn their ideas for voluntary projects into reality. Round 1 of vcashpoint attracted over 500 applications and saw young people from all walks of life & locations in England receive funding for their own projects. These included:
· a peer monitoring project supporting young boys and girls who have been victims of bullying
· a project to encourage young people to break down racial barriers by exploring each others cultural traditions through art
· a street party project to raise awareness of environmental issues
