AWAAZ works to empower South Asian women to play a positive role in the social, cultural, political and economical life of the city of Wolverhampton. AWAAZ recognizes the addressing South Asian women's needs requires a holistic approach and therefore will work with South Asian families and communities.Services
Welfare advice and outreach advice in three local GP surgeries (men & women 16+)
Counselling for Asian women, 16 + years old
Support groups:
- Sukhoon (Asian women's carers group)
- Dost
- Ashyana (Asian Muslim women's group)
Asian young women's development project
Navjeevan - specialist supported housing scheme for Asian women with mental health needs
Office duty/drop-in service for Asian community to drop in and get initial support with any query.
